The IRS Principle of Government examines the unevenness between the principles that the government (the IRS) uses to look into our personal finances, and what DOGE is now doing.

The Facts of Life in America
The fact of life in America is very well established that it is a crime (i.e. you are fined, or go to jail, or both) if you have income that is not reported and taxed by the Federal Government. Nobody is above the law, and everybody has to pay their taxes unless their father is President Joe Biden and as president he gives amnesty to his son on paying his taxes. That point is still sticking even after he is out of office. Hunter Biden broke the rules of everybody has to pay their taxes.
Moreover, the government will find your financial transactions one way or another with time, because they use the Internal Revenue Service, which has investigators to do exactly that. Maybe a kid can cut somebody’s grass and gets paid in cash, and he doesn’t put it in a bank but spends it or saves it in cash, but those are the “rare exceptions.”
Unfortunately, the system is abused by many people. How?
The Underground Informal Black Market
In many countries, there are whole industries that operate breaking the law of taxation. Every person in their country must pay taxes on whatever income they have while in their country. Only the United States (to my limited knowledge) taxes their citizens on their world-wide income.
But the illegal aliens that have entered the United States normally do not have Social Security numbers that were assigned to them when they start working. So everything is cash. Yet if they open a bank account anywhere in the United States, then the government is watching that account, and especially what goes into it, and they want to know where it came from.
Again, the United States goes to excesses and extremes in taxing even personal gifts from one person to another. Would those gifts represent fraud and income tax evasion? Maybe, but a birthday gift would not be taxable normally. But the IRS will tax people on gifts or unidentified income anyway. That is the level of granularity of our government. They look at everything and nothing is exempt unless it is very small. Even PayPal transferences are considered as income.
So, in other words, the Federal government makes no exceptions. Everything comes into the mix, and you are placed under a very non-Constitutional situation where you are guilty and pay the taxes on something until you can defend yourself in a tax court unless you can convince them that it is not taxable, and to the IRS, they want and consider everything as being taxable.
Add to that situation that has been well established for decades, Joe Biden’s upping the stakes even more by getting Congress to vote for 87,000 new IRS auditors of people and companies accounts. So they installed an army of people to find anybody who is trying to hide money that would be taxable by the government. They even are wanting these agents “armed”, i.e. carrying a sidearm when they deal with people in the course of their work.
What has to be an honest citizen’s response and attitude towards that? It is apparently the government’s right to do all of that. So we “grin” and bear with it.
DOGE is being rejected by Democrats
But when we “turn the page,” and look at what Elon Musk and DOGE is doing to audit the self-same government’s books, we find that “we the people” have no right to know how the government is shuffling money from one place to another. In a business, such practices of diverting money into your cronies pockets is considered a crime, and the law goes after those incidents, and removes the people involved and fines and/or puts them in jail.
But with our government, this is suddenly off limits. Somehow somebody’s rights are being violated when we know what is happening with “our taxpayer money”.
Elon Musk is not elected
Yes, great observation. He is not elected. Tell me which IRS personnel is elected? None. There is a commissioner of the IRS which is appointed by the president, and everybody under that commissioner has to answer to the commissioner, and the commissioner to the President of the United States.
When Trump indicated that he wanted a full accounting from the IRS commissioner (that was coming when he fully is inaugurated), then commissioner Werfel (under Joe Biden) resigned before Trump took off. Why? Hum. So why would he step down if everything was on the level?
Elon Musk, again, broke the rules. Before Trump and Musk, in government a revision of a department was done “through channels”. This means that the President would request it of the head of that agency, and then they would return a report or audit of money in, money out, and what and where and to whom that money out send the US taxpayers’ money.
Musk is a businessman like Trump, and businesses do not use these channels to investigate financial matters in business. What they do is grab the checkbook (the money being spent), and they see money in, and compare the two, then they analyze every transaction to see if the checks went to what and to whom they were supposed to go to. Musk went to the Treasury Department and got active raw data of the transactions.
This is what all the fuss and outrage is about. You can lie, defer, and confuse to hide illicit transactions when you make a formal “through channels” report, but grabbing the actual bank transactions hides nothing. Maybe you can use front organizations to cover things up, but that is very difficult and usually easy to spot the fraud. Has anybody every thought for a minute that promoting homosexual groups and projects in a Muslim country is strange? In other words, their culture is to kill anybody even suspected of being gay. There is no court, no judge, no trial, they just kill them. Do they make mistakes? All the time, without doubt.
But that puts a shock factor into any such openly pro-homosexual organization or actively. So in that context, the United States is sending millions of dollars to promote homosexuality. We could go into many areas here. Homosexuality is a religion, and the government is prohibited from promoting any religion. What happened? Our government allows the free expression of religion, but all must be treated equally. Where is the corresponding money going to promote the clean heterosexual family model, i.e. a man and a woman legally married?
But I would suspect that those homosexual groups are just terrorists that agree with their cultural norm of all homosexuals should be killed. They use that money to support terrorism. Our government system is supposed to have checks and balances, and that kind of “misappropriation” of funds is extremely investigated and punished, and if not, at least the funding stopped. The Democrats did not have any interest in investigating any of this. But they did use the IRS to attack Tea Party groups, predominantly Republicans.
But Elon Musk is a government employee under Donald Trump. Like everybody in the IRS, he is not elected. That is the norm. That is our government. Why the fuss over Musk isn’t elected? Because when fraud is revealed, and there is no excuse for misappropriation of funds, you whine and complain about something, anything, to take the heat off of your fraud and crime.
Enter Donald Trump
What Donald Trump has done is to wreck the Democrat monetization machine. He is applying sound business principles to government. That apparently is a completely novel, untried before, approach. Moreover, he is revealing the problems in our government.
Just think, if Social Security payments are going to be reduced here shortly in a few years because “there isn’t enough money in the system to make full payments,” and Trump stops money from leaking out in forms that are not authorized, then maybe that go broke date for Social Security may be 20 years in the future. Why are the people behind Donald Trump and the Democrats are so against him? It is easy to see.
For decades and decades, the Democrat line that they always fall back to, is, “We are the political party of the people,” meaning that they are the ones that really help people. But all this time, were they really for the people, or were they for their own enrichment? We can throw out opinions all day long, but when there is a money trail in government via the Treasury which tells the absolute truth, it is reality, then we can deal with facts.
The Problem with Democrats (and Government)
This is a persistent problem with Democrats, and many even Republicans, in government. They do not want the truth to come out. When some unflattering fact comes out, they claim that the fact may be “your truth” but it is not “my truth.” Money spent doesn’t lie. It moves from one place to another, and that is the truth. How you understand it and use the fact or ignore the fact is a moral matter in your conscience, but it is not up for debate. It happened. So Trump and Musk are businessmen, people who deal brashly in truth. If what they reveal hurts or offends you, get used to it. People who live in a fantasy world of their own making are children, not adults. That is fine for the few years that a person is a child, but people who are responsible adults, that work and pay bills, don’t live that way.
What good for the Goose is good for the Gander
This principle is that turnaround is fair play. So, when we say we are fair, we have to accept what standards, norms, and ways of doing things that we impose on others, we have to accept that for ourselves. The Democrats did extremely wrong things in going after the Tea Party organizations, because they were lawful groups that just happened to be Republican. There is no crime in that, supposedly (in Democrats’ minds, that is the crime).
But what happens now under Donald Trump is the same government, the President, is going after corruption in government, and not falsely accusing people (another Democrat tactic), but analyzing facts. Accounting sheet ledgers of income and expenditures. But because we have a government, money cannot be spent for whatever reason a person in government wants to spend it on, everything has to be accounted for. To be explicit, an expense has to have a spending bill in Congress to approve that expense to be valid. That congressional bill many times have a time limit set on it, as well as specific parameters, what it is for, who gets that money, what it is used for. Violating any of the parameters is a crime. Beyond legally prosecuting that person or pesons responsable, the funding is stopped until the fraudulent people are removed and new people replace them.
But the principle is that people who pay have every right in the world to do all of this. In a logical and reasonable world, nobody would debate or question the validity of this. But today in our mixed up world, the Democrats are mounting a flood against DOGE. Would that lead you to conclude that their common way of governing is exactly rooted in graft, corruption, personal enrichment?
