Is Global Warming in the Bible? Outlines what the Bible says in Revelation 15:8 about “power was given unto him to scorch men with fire” relating to today.

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun: and power was given unto him to
scorch men with fire” (vs. 8).

To really put this in perspective, the Bible teaches a global flood. God judged the earth because of the increase in sin in the days of Noah. So a “universal” is definitely a possibility.

But note Revelation 15:8. This is the time of the Tribulation. To understand the book of the Revelation, we need to understand a few basic points first.

1. God created man. Man therefore has an obligation (because of the motive of gratitude) that man must worship God.
2. Man is sinful and rebellious against God’s authority. Therefore, man’s problem is that he doesn’t want God in his heart. The fool says, “there is no God” Psalms 14:1. “There is” is what translators call a gloss to help the reader make more sense of the translation. But literally the Hebrew just say “The fool say no God”. He doesn’t want him in his life.
3. There is a price that the whole world pays for a) not worshiping God and b) for crucifying the Savior. That price is to be punished and suffer. The Tribulation is that time when God unleashes just punishment on a sinful world.
4. Pollution and man made contaminants are not the cause of this fiery judgment, but sin. All efforts to prevent this judgment will be unless because the only way to avoid it is repentance and doing what God wants us to do (justice) and prophecy indicates that although there may be times of revival, the end of mankind is the Tribulation and judgment after.
