Why does the US need a military? ICE?

The Cry to Do Away with what some don’t like
Some people want to do away with things. For example, ICE, Police, the Military. Their complaint is that they do not like what those agencies do. Very simply, the actual people in those agencies are not the real problem, but the entire concept of what that government agency is supposed to be doing. For example, when police do their duty, they arrest people breaking the law. IF there are a lot of black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. people being arrested then those groups want to do away with the police. Defund the police.
But if some criminal comes into their home and robs them, then they call those same police that they want to defund. The is the hypocrisy and illogical thinking of these people- While you may not like what these governmental agencies do in a particular instance, it is extremely short sighted to do away with them, defund them, or fill them with people who are not capable of doing their job when their job is difficult.
Why do we need a Military?
The fact of the matter is that we have something of value in America. Other countries also have things of value in them. The reason countries have a military is to defend that country and the things of value in that country. They are what is between outsiders and insiders. Foreigners which would wish to plunder and carry off our treasures of value to their countries. Ancient Rome had a custom in warfare, when a country lost its war with Rome, the Roman soldiers would plow that countries fields with salt so that nothing could be grown in those fields. How did that benefit Rome? It really doesn’t. It is just spite to punish some country that opposed Rome. We see the same thing coming up in threats by Democrats against Republicans. “When Democrats come into power again, we will lock up all the Republicans.” I understand that as a threat which is not based in law. The threat should be “those who break the law will pay the consequences.” But how blind do you have to be in order to say that when those who enforce our laws (like ICE) are deporting illegal aliens. Somehow, Democrats gloss over the fact that an illegal alien is breaking the law. But then they want to persecute Republicans because “Nobody is above the law.” How about illegal aliens? How about Obama and Biden which ignored establish immigration law voted on by a bipartisan Congress? Those individuals get a pass because of their political party affiliation.
Trump has a 50 billion dollar law suit against Chase for defunding his bank accounts simply because Chase does not like Republicans. What about all the laws made in the past that prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, religion, “OR POLITICAL AFFILIATION”? So Democrats can very well discriminate when they want to do so. That is right? If a restaurant is breaking the law for not allowing a black man to eat in their establishment, why isn’t Chase Bank breaking the law for not giving service to Donald Trump because he is a Republican?
The basic principle here is that there are evil people in the world, and governments of every kind have people to protect their countries from what they deem as evil people, people who work against their political system, people, country, and lifestyle. This is right and just. Yet when a country’s political system allows for free speech and liberties of the individuals, and evil characters infiltrate and seek to do harm to the country using the benefits that country offers its citizens, shouldn’t these evil character be pursed and punished or completely removed and prohibited from returning to do more of the same? Yes.
Our military protects our country, people, and lifestyle from foreign characters that seek our hurt. Their entire purpose is lethal force to do that job. We should not be surprised when they are good at their job. We should praise them for doing their job, because it is dangerous, and many have died or been hurt for life for doing that job.
The Iran Threat
I am not the president, and I am not a member of Congress. But we have tried to coexist for a long time now with people who vocally and forcefully want our total destruction. Iran has been that country which has done a lot towards causing us harm. Israel is in the same situation with Iran. Iran regularly sends missiles into Israel to just kill and destroy. There is an inherent right of every person and country to defend themselves. Where not the 9-11 terrorism a direct outcome of the Muslim religious philosophy of Iran, and probably paid for by Iran, and executed by people recruited by Iran? If that is so, and it would appear so, because Iran regularly takes credit for terrorism against the US, then whatever wrath our military showers upon Iran is deserved.
Let the Police do Their Job
When we look at what police do, many object to the police wholesale, and the Democrats want “guidance counselors” instead of policemen answering calls for help. What a disaster this is! Policemen are prepared to use deadly force in the execution of their jobs. That means they are trained and prepared to subdue people, hurt them if they resist, and even use deadly force to stop a criminal, i.e. they carry a firearm and are told to us it. When? That is the problem so many do not understand. From past experience (and they constantly study all shooting and deaths of civilians and police personnel) they see how so many evil people manage to subdue the policemen risking their lives, and kill them. The criminal kills the policeman. While some may applaud that, when the criminals show up at your house in the middle of the night, you may change your tune quickly.
But the real point here is that there are principles in play that everybody has to observe. The police have their rules of engagement in doing their job. Policemen get a bum rap often because when they are in a situation responding to a request for help, they have seconds to make a decision, but others who are critical of them as a whole have months to analyze and condemn them. That in itself is not fair.
But the principle for civilians is simply obey what the law enforcement person says when he says it and how he says. Do not run because if you are innocent, his rules of engagement may kick in and you will be killed. The incident of an ICE agent shooting a person blocking them doing their job with a car, and then trying to flee, running over an ICE agent in the process is a case in point. If that person would have simply obeyed the orders of the ICE agent, got out of the car and laid down on the ground or put their hands on their car, she would be alive today. But in the heated emotion of protesting ICE while they are doing their job, things got out of control. No lawman likes killing people. That burdens them for the rest of their lives. But it is worse when the person he killed was just stupid in their actions.
We do not need to do away with ICE, we need a national alert to obey the law. Interfering with a lawman official doing their duty, that is a felony. So why doesn’t the Democrat party start a movement of their leaders telling everybody “Obey the Law”? What happened to nobody is above the law? Was Good and Pretty obeying the law when they were killed? No they weren’t. The right to protest does not extend to the right to interfere or stop officials of the government (military, government agencies like ICE, or local and state lawmen) from doing their duty. In fact, that in itself is a crime. So where is the Democrat outcry at those who are breaking the law? Obviously, the rule in play here is very easily seen. If a Democrat is pursuing something they want, they can break the law, and when the lawman comes to stop them, that lawman needs to go to jail, and the lawbreaker should receive millions in damages. That is not the law. That is chaos.
Iran Revisited
Very simply, Iran needs to “have its clock cleaned.” This phrase means a total readjustment of reality for them. Even within their country there are people in protest of what their government is doing to other countries and the corrupt and evil government that they have. Unlike the United States, in Iran, these protesters are just murdered on the spot without a trial. It is their army which is doing this, not even their policemen.
If the United States stands on the right principles of governance, and it does, the we should promote, protect, and defend those who are being persecuted, like Israel and Taiwan. Instead, Democrats are unilaterally against these countries. I am not pleased to see anybody die, but quite frankly, when an anti-ICE protester gets incarcerated, hurt, or even dies in doing stupid things that impede lawful government agencies doing their duty, I cannot oppose the law. They get what they bargained for. They should have sat down and thought through what they were doing. The Democrats riling up their base to do these things is unconscionable. The Democrats doing this should pay a heavy penalty. I think that the best punishment for them is in the election ballot box. They need to lose constantly, and completely, and as a political party, the nation as a whole needs to ignore them totally and despise them until such time as they learn that our laws and our citizens have the priority here. Law abiding citizens are who they should represent first and foremost.

What's Wrong with the Democrat Party?
I look at very deep problems within the Democrat Party and their operatives and elected officials. Let me begin by saying I am Republican, but my opinions and views still count. They are worthy of listening to and evaluating to see if you see these same problems within the Democrats.
