National Envy of Righteousness is an opinion piece contrasting godly government and principles (laws) versus ungodly governments and crime.

Introduction
As an American, I watch the news from the point of view of a Christian, a believer and “practicer” of what the God of the Bible says human beings are supposed to be and do. It has been a great privilege to be in the United States of America. I appreciate our godly heritage and development as a nation. So I want to note some things about why God has blessed us, versus why God curses those who reject His ways. Moreover, as an American, I see people within in the United States that want to destroy it. I have opinions about that also.
Cause and Effect
In reality, science is twisted today. Science is not propaganda. It is not what some particular person or group wants it to be. Global warming/cooling is not a problem because science has documented that “weather changes”. Science studies causes and effects and draws logical conclusions from the causes and associates that to the effects.
In considering our topic, God has cursed certain behaviors because they are against God’s character. For example, God commands a man is to work if he is wants to eat (2 Thess. 3:10; Exodus 20:9 “six days shalt thou work”). The effect (eating) is something that everybody wants to do, but much more than just eating food, the idea behind it all is to be a consumer of good things. That only comes about, according to God, when a person or a nation works hard first.
Now we enter into another related area. Everyone is prohibited from stealing the fruits of another man’s labors. (Exodus 20:15 “Thou shalt not steal“). It is the will of God that one person (who normally does not do honest work) take illicitly (steals) that which the working man has gained. There is a law of God involved that a man should work honestly and enjoy what he gains.
Ecclesiastes 5:18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. 19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God. 20 For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth him in the joy of his heart.
But the principle here is that hard work yields gains, goodness, and he who works hard should not lose that goodness because of the envy of a lazy man.
The Craziness of Illegal Immigrants
I live in Mexico. I know many people from living in Mexico that have “moved” to the United States. Their reason for moving up to the United States is because the standard of living is higher there, i.e. they can make more money working in the United States and enjoy a higher lifestyle than in Mexico. But what really has me curious is that there are lots of rich people in Mexico that live a really high lifestyle.
While all these illegal aliens are literally risking their lives in order to get into the United States, none of them really understand the “why” behind it is so good in the United States. The cause of the United States “blessedness” is their relationship with the true God of the Bible.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
It is because people worship and please God, ordering their lives after the character of God, the will of God, that God blesses them. When godly principles are used to establish the rules of life in a country, the laws, God will bless that country. My question to the typical illegal alien is why don’t you, in your own country, change your country to obey the laws of God, and you will see the same blessedness in your country? In other words, if these illegals would truly work to correct the immorality, the hate of God of their people, the ignoring of God by them, then God could also bless their country, and they could enjoy a good life in the country where they were born.
In reality, what is going on here is straight from the Bible. People ignore the Bible, they envy others that have good things and which they do not have, and they steal from those that have.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
What other countries are doing wrong (and the United States are now heading into full throttle) is to worship other gods, not the One True God.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
Instead of envying the person who has good things, and then plotting to take those things away from them, a person should not envy. This is part of making peace with God. You must be responsible for bringing the goodness into your own life by means of hard work.
1.) It is wrong that the United States buys votes from its people by government giveaways.
2.) It is wrong for foreigners to illegally (or legally) come into the United States and to be lay, not work, and enjoy these giveaways.
Can they do it? Yes they can. They can illicitly enjoy these things, cheating the United States laws, and “taking” whatever the government will give them. But God is still in heaven, and we know our God by his position of Judge.
Hebrews 11:6… he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
Our God is also a punisher of evildoers, or those that ignore and disobey Him.
The Warning when you Stray from the Way of God
To be simple, God is not stupid. God is the One who enforces the cause and effect, and when people stray from the position of blessedness, God will curse those people, individuals or groups (countries). It is when the people of a nation do not fight to obey and please God that God curses them. It will come with time, and it will only get worse and worse until the people correct their lives in relation to obeying God. Laws are of God. They enforce order and justice. Making bad laws or even good laws that everybody ignores will only bring the wrath of God on a nation.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God is directly involved in cursing and healing a nation based on their turning their lives to submission under God.
The Lunacy of Changing the United States into a Third World Country
What is really comical if it were not so tragic is that people from a cursed country come illegally into the United States and then want the United States to be like their cursed system back home. Do they not understand what caused the bad conditions that they are running from? While they come to America and embrace wholeheartedly the American dollar, they have no common sense of also embracing the God of that country they envy so much, and they should also embrace the legal system that makes that country great?
I have spent much of my life going back and forth between Mexico and the United States. What is really a secret that everybody “knows” but nobody can get a handle on, is when an illegal comes into the United States, he wants in at any cost. Once he gets “in”, gets some kind of legality in the United States, even becomes a citizen, this same person wants all of his family and friends to come in, but then he wants the US government to shut the door tight against anybody else coming in. That is simply because the flow of illegals into the US is bad for working US citizens. It forces down wages, and force up rent, food, medical costs, getting and maintaining a vehicle costs, etc. When he begins to pay taxes and pay for things in this environment which HE HIMSELF IS A PART OF, he realizes that it is highly problematic for his simple living and enjoying life because of all the illegals that come and take jobs, his possible jobs, and they will work for real cheap pay.
Again we return to morality. A person who does not have a saving relationship with God, does not obey God nor worship God (worship being a changing of one’s moral character to be like God’s moral character). There can be no lasting blessedness in people, even if they “get” good things, when they are out of whack with God morally. It is great that they are living with good things, but those things are consumed and gone, and to continue to get “good things” without that correctness with God is impossible.
Conclusion
You see, there is a cause and effect with God and how you as a nation live. You obey God, and God will bless you and your country, but if you disobey God, He will curse you as a nation and individually.
