Mamdani and the Democrat Hypocrisy

According to this article in Breitbart.com news service, Mayor of New York Mamdani is worried about fraud in his cherished government supermarkets. The issue as he sees it is that if they do not limit the clients to his supermarkets, then he is fearful that there will be abuse. Of course. Human nature is such that if any person, company OR GOVERNMENT does not prevent fraud, it will happen. The more dense these groups are, the greater the fraud.

An additional fear is that even New Yorkers will abuse this service. So even New Yorkers are to be limited in the amounts that they can purchase. So this is not something that New Yorkers are doing it correctly and people from outside New York City or NY state are coming in and abusing there system.

Defining Abuse and Fraud

In the analyzing this situation, my first question is why would it be considered fraud for an out-of-the-city person come into one of these supermarkets and purchase a few shopping carts worth of groceries to take home? Why is it considered fraud that somebody from a neighboring state come and purchase a few thousand dollars worth of merchandise and take it back home and put it into his store and sell it at a profit? This is the issue.

If we open a service, a store, discounts, and even a country to anybody who wishes to come into that place we have set up and “abuse” it by taking everything free or cheap, then is that wrong? Where is the issue really in all of this? Because we have had 40+ years of Democrats opening our borders to foreigners to do exactly the same thing. Is there a “right” for New York citizens to get a discount in these stores? Isn’t that racist in a way? People from New Jersey, etc. are discriminated against because they do not have a New York City residence.

Why is it wrong for one of the bodegas around the corner from these supermarkets to send their people in every day and buy merchandise at 30% discount and turn around and sell it the same day at a profit? If they were smart, they would buy it and then sell it at the 30% discount. After a few weeks, Mamdani’s stores would have to discount their already 30% discounted prices another 30% and after a few iterations of this (if it can go more than one time), the actual price would probably be below 50%, and Mamdani would go under.

So the problem here is fairness.

Mamdani is just claiming that such people “taking advantage of” and “abusing” his government grocery stores are unfair. But is that logical? In every part of the country, there are wholesalers that do exactly that same thing. In other words, they give a hefty discount if people buy in bulk, like Sam’s and Costcos. Are Sams stores and Costcos stores unfair? If they are, then they have not had any accusations against them. They also require an ID card, which is purchased, and becomes an equalizer if a person buys the membership without using it very much, then there are no savings.

Why is Mamdani limiting the service of these stores to only people in New York, and also excluding any reselling of the items? The reason is the real issue and problem here. What Mamdani is doing is buying votes. Nobody outside of his jurisdiction, i.e. New York City, is going to vote for him and his cronies in elections. Therefore, his give-aways are limited to their target audience. There is the problem. Politicians using government to buy votes (and power and influence) for themselves. This is what is wrong.

The federal government needs to come into this situation and make the Mamdani to play fair. How? First of all, Mamdani’s supermarkets need to pay all taxes, have all permits given at the same slow rate as any other business, and also no government funded discounts. Either his supermarkets are business sound, or they are not. If his model of business is not sound, then it should go under. “Sound” in this context is that it should be profitable as a business. Profitable means that the business needs to bear all the burdens of costs, and they need to make a profit afterwards.

It perfectly fits in Mamdani’s thinking to make police, firemen, librarians, etc. to go bag groceries and stock the shelves “for free”, and let the city pay the police, etc. from their city funds to pay them. In other words, this is how slavery starts. Government is an authority that forces labor and the surrend of property for the government’s wishes. People become pawns and are not considered important.

Fairness as to the Bodegas

But if Mamdani’s “beef” with people abusing his nice little party, how about what Mamdani’s government supermarkets are doing to the bodegas. We live in a capitalist country. In a free market system, such abuses usually correct themselves except when there are monopolies. A monopoliy is when a single group or company destroys the competition through unfair practices, like not paying rent for a business, getting government subsidies, etc. So to sum up the situation, Mamdani is forcing unfair practices on the situation. Mamdani’s stores can be unfair to all other supermarkets, but they nor individuals can use the situation to personally benefit themselves. That is hypocrisy. This needs to go to court, and there needs to be a suing session to stop Mamdani. It would appear that the supermarkets being ill affected by these government stores are uniting to sue them.

But the point is that all of this is classic examples of how socialism and communism works. The thinking is that “we can do things better if we (the Communist government, party) own the means of production.” But is that true? No. If a Communist government can do things better by owning the means of production, then where are the many examples that should be inherent in Communist states like Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.? In North Korea for example, the commun people do not have the means to buy meat to eat. Once a year, the dictator orders meat for everybody on his birthday. That sounds better? Better for whom? Only for the members of the Communist party. The Chinese Communist party boasts of having high ranking party members that are billionaires, actually a very good number of them. So where are these rich people sharing their wealth with the lowly Chinese poor? You don’t see that happening. Simply put, the rich are protected from anybody or anyone taking their money, such as taxes. They force prices to the lowest levels for themselves. The poor just are left out of the best of what their society can produce.

In a capitalist country, even the poor can afford some pleasures and good things. But this is only when capitalism is at work. In Venezuela, in the recent earthquake there, the medical units could not do much to help the people because there were no supplies. The doctors could operate on sick people needing that, but only if their families could get the needed supplies for the operation. Where? Right outside these hospitals they sold it. Medical services are free, but restricted for lack of supplies, and the supplies are in front of the hospital. So there is even in Venezuela there is still capitalism, but the people die for lack of proper medical services. The key thing here to observe is that Communism keeps the people poor because it is abusing them. The common person cannot make a liveable wage. So back to the Bodegas, other supermarkets, and even private individuals that would buy up a lot of merchandise and resell it at a profit is prohibited. That is the point. A Communist wants to be the only one to abuse others. He protects himself with the legal system, the police, and the army. That is a government monopoly abusing the citizens.

If Mamdani wants to do something like this, I say, let him do it, but not in the continential USA. Make him go to Cuba or Venezuela and do it. There the Communists in power probably will not allow him to do anything. Why? Because they are in power, and Mamdani isn’t.

Socialism/Communism fights against the American System

When we consider the overview of all of this, what Mamdani has done is that he is trying to flip New York City from being an American city to being a third world city. This is how it starts. With give-aways and highly discounted unfair competition.Once they ruin other legitimate businesses, and bankrupt them, then they will raise the prices and lower the quality.

What is the Remedy?

The remedy is very simply legal, justice. The federal justice department needs to come into this situation and reassert the point that federal law, the US Constitution, has authority of every state and city. In recent years Democrats have tried to assert that a local judge can countermand anything the President of the United States orders (within the powers that the Constitution has given him). An example would be immigration control, ICE.

So what we are seeing in New York and California is the yeast being inserted into our country, and that yeast will spread to every corner. Most likely, the justice department will not enter sufficiently to stop this. It hasn’t in California in the past. So what will happen? New York will become a Communist enclave. New York has already seen the exodus of the rich, and this will seal that event. California is also seeing a great exodus. What will they do next? They have to put a Communist in the White House, and saturate Congress with Communists. The Congress is already seeing that. Maybe in the next Presidential election we will get somebody like Bernie Sanders as the Democrat nominee. Actually Sanders isn’t radical enough for these people.

But New York will have these government supermarkets block and bankrupct all other supermarkets. When that happens, the government supermarkets will raise their prices because they have a monopoly over selling food items. The richest Democrats will still get all they want. In COVID, when many stores had great empty spaces where products were before, Nancy Pelosi showed off her 2 great big freezers in her house with probably thousands of dollars worth of the most expensive ice creams available. That image goes side-by-side with the Mamdani government supermarket. That luxury is not for the common person, but for the Communist rulers, and in Pelosi’s case, the Democrat elite government workers. Think about the point that when in COVID normal people just did without (like what? toilet paper!) but the elite never did without. They had a large bounty, and they don’t share except with other elites, and then even that is rare.

The real remedy here is for the common, normal American citizen demand equality and justice. Mamdani got where he is because of a voting block that was built up by illegal Muslim immigrants. Press your congressman to pass the SAVE voting act to press these kinds of people out of power.
