Misplaced Fears, Fearmongering
Some people are repeating their fear that Trump will “cut Social Security benefits to some people.” So, from what I am hearing, this is an outrage to some people. I have a question for those who are worrying about this? When Musk and Trump stop the checks from Social Security and other federal programs, why is there something wrong with that? They are not stopping legitimate people who paid into Social Security from getting what they paid into. They are stopping what is recognized as fraud.
Has the craziness of California now infected the entire United States thinking? That is where it is not breaking the law if the criminal “needs” what he is stealing. California has made stealing things that total under $900 “not a crime” anymore. The criminal has rights to steal, not to a fair trial and justice, but to steal. No wonder so many people who are hard workers are leaving California.
Congress has “predicted” and caused much worry over the last 40 some years that Social Security is going bankrupt, and they have said in the past that in 2030 to 2035 the government will have to reduce what each person on Social Security will be receiving. More threats get worse as they project further out. Eventually, the idea that concluded, that people who live off of Social Security and need it will not get anything. This is used by politicians to get voters to vote for their ideas on Social Security (which is how the system got into the condition it is in today. Fox guarding the hen house, anyone?)
So the panic mongers want everybody to worry about this and their solutions all focus on the same, give them power and money, and they will blunt slightly what is going to happen, the inevitable. Notice that politicians never have to face old age and live mainly off of a social security check?
Social Security is a Retirement System
But Social Security is a program (supposedly) where the American worker pays into it all his working years and receives payouts after they retire.
Let’s examine a few key elements that are having monumental shifts that are being hidden.
1. This program is only for US citizens.
Duh! If we were to open it to the world, of course it won’t last or be substantial in giving any help in the future. It would have little use if they lower the recipients’ payout to $100 a month, even though foreigners would accept even that while destroying the system. Congress has already passed laws in the past that prohibit “non-citizens” from receiving federal assistance money.
Note that it makes no difference if the person is a legal or illegal immigrant, neither has a right to that assistance because it is illegal to do so. Congress has passed laws prohibiting it. Nobody is above the law. Do we need to question the supreme logic of Democrats in saying nobody is above the law? Oh, yea. No Republican is above the law, but Democrats ignore the laws whenever it is convenient for them, and the rub is that what they say is true, nobody is above the law, but only when they want somebody to be exempt from the law, then that is right and just. Our justice standards stink these days because the law is not applied the same for everybody.
2. NOT EVEN EVERY US CITIZEN HAS A RIGHT TO Social Security.
Some people will be up in arms over this one, but the law is very clear. Only American citizens, only workers having gainful, honest employment, have a right to receive anything from SS. But not even all of them have a right to Social Security.
The rules, i.e. law, are even worse. A worker paying into the system has to pay into it 40 quarters to be eligible. That is, he has to have worked and pay into the system 10 years before he gets anything. The amount he gets is calculated (the government reveal how they figure it, though), but paying in for a normal salary, you will still only get a low income. The pool of funds is limited, and what is that pool is dispersed among the recipients on algorithms.
So Musk finds foreigners, not US citizens, on the receiving accounts, and he wants that further investigated. They should not be receiving funds from Social Security. Why is that horrible? Musk and Trump are defending citizens’ rights. Unauthorized people getting a slice of the pie means every other legitimate Social Security receiver would get less in their rightful payouts. The concept of injustice is used by fearmongers to get retirees upset.
Why is it wrong? Because 80 years or more, Democrats have under the table included non-permitted people to get a slice of the pie because they were buying their votes (this the outrage that somebody is calling their hand on it).
Democrats in the past have included black teenage girls with babies out of wedlock as recipients of government assistance per baby that they had. It came from Social Security. (1) They hadn’t paid into the system the required number of years, and in fact 16 and 17-year-old girls had not even worked yet. How did they get money? Democrats give away the taxpayers’ money to get power and control. A lot of that money somehow ended up in the Democrats pockets also, beside gaining the welfare recipients’ votes.
(2) What they received was not prorated according to what they had paid in, because they hadn’t paid anything.
For honest United States citizens and workers, their pay-outs through Social Security is governed (i.e. reduced or increased) according to how much they paid into the system. How do foreigner, illegal aliens who do not have a right to Social Security until they become citizens, get a Social Security number and access to the pay-outs? Many of these people who in the black market job market, meaning they work for cash, pay no Social Security fees (withheld when a business openly pays their workers) yet they are getting into the system? Instead of opposing Musk and Trump, we should give them awards! They are defending every American worker who is abiding by the law.
Why is Social Security a law in the first place? Why cannot people just in the first place invest this same money into a retirement of their choosing? Having no other option, because it is the law, why are we not up in arms that the system is being gamed and abused in the first place? This should have been done from the first day Social Security was required by the government of all workers. Our politicians have failed us.
(3) Musk found a single person receiving multiple illegal payouts.
How is that even possible? Fraud. That has to be the conclusion when dead people keep getting payouts and the money is withdrawn from their accounts (i.e. somebody alive is spending it) even after the Social Security recipient has died. Either somebody not entitled is getting the money, or dead people are walking around spending it. That would be spooky.
Fraud. Somebody has found the fraud in the system and is stopping it. If you have any hope of getting any Social Security as an honest payee into that system, you have to ask yourself a question. Who is on the side of stopping the abuse of the system, and who is on the side of continuing the fraud? Those are who you should identify as friend and foe. Do not let propaganda sirens convince you that somehow a legitimate recipient of Social Security will not get their rightful amount. The opposite is true if the Democrats stop Musk and Trump.
There is nothing horrible about what Musk and Trump are doing, but what is horrible is how easy our system has been abused, and how excessively the resources have been stolen away. The cry that people are getting cut from “their” Social Security is exactly right. But the key here is that it is not their right to get it in the first place. These are foreigners without that right, or Americans who are abusing the system to get money which they are not entitled to receive. How can people with a future birthdate, or who are over 120 years old getting Social Security. There are not anybody that age, much less millions. Power on Trump and Musk!
