Democrats want Gun Control

Democrats want Gun Control

Democrats want Gun Control is an opinion piece on the hypocrisy of Democrats on gun control. If it is true that Democrats want Gun Control then we should expect to see that carried across in all of the things they do, and all of the laws they pass or push for.

What is the Problem?

Politicians presume to fix problems. At times, the problem doesn’t really exist, or it exists but really is not a problem. For example, Democrats see the mere existence of Republicans and Independents as a problem. It may be in a narrow way of thinking, but to see their existence as a problem is to deny the views of others, which is a problem in itself. If we go with the Democrat thinking here, then gays would be a problem to them also, but it is not.

So what is the problem behind this. The “this” here is violence, killings, and other aggression of one person against another. If we return to the basis of government (God), then we can see in the Bible very clearly that aggression of one person or people against another is not God’s will. There are a few exceptions such as in self defense of one’s person or family or property. There is also war between nations, and while God does not hold soldiers responsible for war, he does hold the leaders responsible for what they do causing war with somebody else. There is also civil activity, where the civil authorities execute some criminal for their crimes. Usually this is reserved for very serious crimes, usually taking somebody’s life. Death that occurs that was not premeditated is not seen in the Bible as worthy of the death of the person causing it, but he may be responsible economically to the family of the person who died.

Where the Hypocrisy begins

The modus operendi of Democrats is based on causing violence and then using it (spinning it) politically. We have seen this with Antifa and Black Lives Matter, among other things. So you cannot be against something, and accuse somebody else of doing it and that being extremely wrong, when you yourself are also doing it. They say, “Democrats want gun control,” but they show only hypocrisy on the matter.

Maxine Waters for example has exhorted Democrats to get in the face of the Republican and conservative politicians and make life uncomfortable for them by verbal aggression and public scandal. Why? Simply because they do not agree with Maxine Waters.

Democrats want Gun Control so why are they promoting and using aggression politically and encouraging this aggression politically? In years past, even though Democrats and Republicans had different viewpoints and opinions, they could work together without demonizing each other. Those were conservative Democrats, but extremism has contaminated the Democrat party making it toxic today. (Yes, I am demonizing the modern Democrat party because they have taken the position of death to everybody that doesn’t march lockstep with them. This is a dictatorship.)

Liberal Criminal Treatment

As a fact of life, most of the political environment does not follow the biblical principles in dealing with crime. Crime is stopped when there is effective punishment applied in a sensible way. Premeditated murder should be dealt with by capital punishment. He who takes a life should have his life taken by the civil authorities. Doing that is a mandate from God. It should not be abused, misdirected, or corrupted, but it also should not be ignored or left aside. By dealing correctly with crime, it detours others from entering into the same.

An anti-crime stance should therefore be firm on punishing criminals. Democrat policies are in general light on criminals. Recently there are Democrat laws in Democrat States that are early release programs, putting criminals back on the street without really any punishment. Bail, as a factor of “costing criminals for their crimes”, is being done away with. If Democrats are anti-crime, then this is a hypocrisy on their part. But the issue goes deeper. They are pro-crime actually.

If you notice my perspective, the person does the crime, not a gun, not a knife, not a hammer, not a car. You can punish inanimate objects all you want, but in assigning the blame on an inanimate object, you release the person from his deliberate acts. This stance is pro-crime not anti-crime. In the example of the Bible, we never see inanimate objects as the blame for some crime. The Bible even places the blame for a loose bull that gores somebody back on that animal’s owner.

Afghanistan is a disaster

The Afghanistan evacuation is not an accident. Our military has contingency plans drawn up way in advance for things like this, and usually every contingency is considered and a plan made for it. To have something like what happened in Afghanistan recently, it has to be deliberately done. Whether this is the military top brass deciding not to follow their established procedures and plans already drawn up, or whether President Biden overrode them, somebody who is in power decided for this to happen as it did.

Let me expand on what I have said above. An anti-crime stance not only desire for crimes to stop and when they happen that the criminal is punished (if death of innocents was done, then those who did that should be tried and if found guilty, capital punishment should be applied. To accidentally (from lack of care) or deliberately give criminals weapons is not an anti-crime stance.

What the Taliban Terrorists gained in way of weapons

BUILD TALIBAN BACK BETTER

In the rare times Joe Biden left his basement to campaign during the 2020 presidential election, he promised to “build back better.” But he failed to mention that he and the Democrat Party meant BUILD TALIBAN BACK BETTER! Biden has made the Taliban one of the most well-armed military in the Middle East and it’s all with OUR taxpayer money (estimated at S85+ BILLION): Aircraft: The Taliban now ranks #26 in the world in total military aircraft thanks to us leaving behind 208 planes and helicopters:

• 110 helicopters
• 60 transport/cargo planes
• 20 light attack planes
• 18 intelligence/surveillance planes
Vehicles: We left a total of 75,898 vehicles:
• 42,604 tactical vehicles
• 22,174 Humvees
• 8,998 medium tactical vehicles
• 1,005 recovery vehicles
• 928 mine-resistant vehicles
• 189 armored tanks
Weapons: The next time you hear a Democrat talk about gun control, remember that Biden left the Taliban with 599,690 weapons:

• 358,530 rifles
• 126,295 pistols
• 64,363 machine guns
• 25,327 grenade launchers
• 12,692 shotguns
• 9,877 RPGs
• 2,606 howitzers

Wait, there’s more! Plus several thousand night-vision goggles, surveillance drones and communication devices for when they want to go on an evening beheading jaunt. Let whoever is running the White House (because Biden is a propped up puppet) know your thoughts about how the United States has given more sophisticated military equipment to the Taliban than it has to any of our close allies including Israel. (Taken from a newsletter, [email protected]

So what we can see very clearly is that Joe Biden (because of his own decision instead of following establish military norms, or by accepting bad advice from his military commanders) has equipped terrorist criminals with army grade weapons. This reminds me of Obama’s fast and furious. Again, Democrats by their practice are pro crime, even though their rhetoric is anti-crime.

Our Founding Fathers saw the Need for every Citizen to have a Weapon if he so desires

So according to the Democrat thinking, every gun is evil in and of itself. They even want to prohibit children from having toy guns because it harms them somehow. How does that check with our founding fathers?

Before citing these quotes, I have to point out what reality is. Democrats are people (American citizens) that think that their own views is what is right and that they only have wisdom. But if we examine the length and breadth of crime under Democrat control, we see people and property being harmed, and government does little to stop it, and actually, these Democrat politicians promote crime, lessen punishment, and in general use crime for the Democrat political promotion of their party. They are not anti-crime. These Democrat cities and states are awful places to live and work simply because of the high crime rates.

Wherever you see a conservative political control or high influence, you see the opposite.

Gun Quotes from our Founding Fathers

A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined…
– George Washington, First Annual Address, to both House of Congress, January 8, 1790

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”
– Thomas Jefferson, Virginia Constitution, Draft 1, 1776

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, January 30, 1787

What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Stephens Smith, son-in-law of John Adams, December 20, 1787

The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
– Thomas Jefferson, Commonplace Book (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria), 1774-1776

A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.” – Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, August 19, 1785

The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to to John Cartwright, 5 June 1824

On every occasion [of Constitutional interpretation] let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying [to force] what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, [instead let us] conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Johnson, 12 June 1823

I enclose you a list of the killed, wounded, and captives of the enemy from the commencement of hostilities at Lexington in April, 1775, until November, 1777, since which there has been no event of any consequence … I think that upon the whole it has been about one half the number lost by them, in some instances more, but in others less. This difference is ascribed to our superiority in taking aim when we fire; every soldier in our army having been intimate with his gun from his infancy.
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to Giovanni Fabbroni, June 8, 1778

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
– Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them.
– George Mason, referencing advice given to the British Parliament by Pennsylvania governor Sir William Keith, The Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adooption of the Federal Constitution, June 14, 1788

I ask who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.
– George Mason, Address to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 4, 1788

Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.”
– Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, October 10, 1787

Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of.”
– James Madison, Federalist No. 46, January 29, 1788

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country.”
– James Madison, I Annals of Congress 434, June 8, 1789

…the ultimate authority, wherever the derivative may be found, resides in the people alone…
– James Madison, Federalist No. 46, January 29, 1788

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
– William Pitt (the Younger), Speech in the House of Commons, November 18, 1783

A militia when properly formed are in fact the people themselves…and include, according to the past and general usuage of the states, all men capable of bearing arms… “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.”
– Richard Henry Lee, Federal Farmer No. 18, January 25, 1788 (Quotes taken from buckeyefirearms.org)

So what we see is an armed citizenry. The Democrat concept that guns are not for citizens is simply not in the concepts of the founding fathers. The Democrat hypocrisy continues in that the personal guards for the Democrat politicians and Democrat elites are heavily armed. They themselves don’t move about without heavily armed protection. Their houses and their workplaces also have armed guards.

If you look at what Nancy Pelosi did at the beginning of 2021, she put fences and soldiers around the Capital buildings (where they work) and also around the White House. So let’s get this straight. The Democrat line is exactly what? They can and must be defended and protected by heavily armed people, but the common citizen cannot have any kind of weapon, especially one that would very useful in defending himself, his family, his business, and his property.

Mexican Cartels

I have lived in Mexico for 35 years. What I have personally witnessed is where the Democrats want to lead the United States to. Note. Mexican citizens cannot own guns as per the law. You have to be a soldier or policeman of some kind to own a weapon. Some exceptions are made for security guards (the elites and politicians never leave themselves unprotected). But as crime grows out of control for decades now in Mexico, the weapons of the Mexican cartels have military grade weapons. They have armored cars, grenades, bombs, even drones that drop bombs. The police that protect the public are greatly out classed in weaponry.

But what truly amazes me is that if I am caught with any kind of gun or ammunition, I go to jail, but guns are all over the place here. Lot´s of people who should not have guns have them. This is the reality of life. Criminals break the law, so making a law does not stop them. Only when laws are made to restrict their criminal activity, and these laws are enforced constantly and diligently will their activities be pressured to stop.

Gun Control Laws

As we turn to California to see the future in them, I notice that the big activities in recent years is restricting ammunition. They also want to restrict assault weapons. The people making these laws do not even understand what an assault weapon is. But they also want to restrict any weapon that holds more than a few rounds. All of this is to prevent citizens from using these weapons to defend themselves.

The entire “drift” of their laws and view on guns is to restrict the citizen, but they give freedom to and help to the criminals. They are not anti-crime.

Public Deplatforming

Public deplatforming is removing the ability of a person to use his rights of free speech. If we can grasp that the Democrat gun control policy is extended into removing each and every person’s free speech rights, we see consistency in Democrats. Free speech was another one of these inalienable rights. Nobody can take them away from anybody. The Democrats want only their narrative, and they want to deny everybody else’s point of view. Do not be deceived by “Democrats want Gun Control” tripe. They want to control their opposition.

When Democrats say, “Democrats want Gun Control” they are actually saying “we want to de-arm all American citizens, because as we take over more and more, we need to make sure you cannot resist us.” I read somewhere a comment about gun control and taking away people’s guns. Basically it read, “you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands.” So which is in the spirit of the founding fathers? “Pry my gun from my cold dead hands,” or the Democrat “we are against crime so nobody can have guns.
