Under what Flag do you March?

Under what Flag do you March? is a Christian tract that bears on our society, the telling and living of truth or living lies, moral impurities instead.

Under what Flag do you March? Many people out there in the world supposedly are champions of the truth and good, but their actions make that conclusion rather hard to accept. They lie, cheat, steal, and break the laws of God left and right. But they are “good” supposedly, or so they keep telling us. Let’s turn to Scripture and see a little bit about what God says about the truth and lies.

Psalms 60:4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth.

God has given his children a banner of truth to fly over them so as to identify them to other Christians and for the world in general. But while a banner identifies the character of the people associating under that banner, we have to examine if the truth is in what people say and do, and not just accept others’ word for themselves that they are good and representing the truth. What they represent is the “truth” that they are deceived into believing, but it is not the truth of God. The facts of life do not line up between what they believe is the truth. If we are in the right, in truth and good, the we should be examples of that truth we espouse.

Psalms 119: 142 Your righteousness is eternal righteousness, and your law (is) truth.

In other words, the law of your life is truth. The concept of a law is a principle that is obeyed rigorously.

Those Representing Truth actually practice the Truth

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

The Bible proposes that if one is saved, then he walks in the light, that is, he has a life that reflects this communion with God. In this case, the saved “practice the truth“, otherwise, we live without demonstrating “the truth of God” (spiritual principles that please God), and then, John says that “we lie.” The lie is how we live. The principles of the devil are seen more favorably in your life than the principles of God. Which one best describes your life? Do you currently live the truth, or do you live the lie?

Problems with Total Depravity or Inability
examines the flaws and errors of the Calvinist teaching of Total Depravity (which is really total inability, man is not responsible for his own actions and sins, because he cannot choose sin or obeying God). This is a short article about this point of Calvinism.
The argument of the Calvinists breaks down completely when we examine the Bible and find examples of various individuals that did please God with their lives. Calvinists says that there is nothing at all that any person can do to please God. Yet God views our lives, and in the Bible, certain people did please God like Noah. Maybe the difference was Noah’s life was "better" than everybody's else's wicked lives, but even from that standpoint, God still acted greatly because of Noah's faith and daily relationship with God. When God saves you and your family and kills everybody else on planet earth, that means something.
The bottom line: Calvinism does not take into consideration the places where God looked with approval on various people's lives. Their "system" is fatally flawed, therefore. Good works never save anybody, we can affirm this as true. But the "bottom line" here is that God does approve and disapprove different people's lives. Salvation is only by faith in Jesus Christ the Savior. But what you are depends on what you do. God judges every person, even the elect, and He rewards them as such. Things that God dislikes, God chastises those in hell, for the saved, God causes the elect to lose some of their heavenly rewards for their sins, if not also causing them problems in earth before they die.
